Children’s Author
Amal Al-Aboud is a Saudi scholar, children's author, and translator. She graduated from the State University of New York with a PhD in Translation Studies with honors. With over ten years of experience in the field of translation, she served as the Project Manager at "TransPerfect," one of the largest translation companies in the world.
She has published a number of well-known children's books, such as Jannat Saber, which tells the tale of a young camel traveling to a desert oasis and becoming stranded in a sandstorm. Inspired by the typical street vendors of historic Saudi neighborhoods, she also produced Ta'al Ya Farqana.
Her extensive influence in the field of children's literature is demonstrated by the translations of her works into Chinese, French, and Spanish.
